Can we make a better song?

I am a songwriter/producer looking for songwriters, musicians, vocalists, and engineering collaborators who are intermediate to expert level with similar music interests. Plan to work online, remotely, and send working tracks to mix.

I love to create new music - hundreds of songs done and hundreds more song ideas.

Check out my 10 songs in 2 minutes video for a better idea of what I do. I think my vocals are average. This is less about my finished songs than how I can contribute to a greater team of skilled performers/artists.

Music Genres…

I believe there is still new and interesting music to be made in proven genres.

Acoustic leaning…Americana, folk rock, indie pop, pop/rock with influences from country, roots, bluegrass, classic rock, punk, reggae, blues, R&B, classic top 40.

The Message In The Music

I am driven to make the best possible song with constructive messages.

Hope, kindness, faith, freedom, and fun… I focus on messages contrary to the mainstream. Success in life can be about a purpose greater than fame, money, or power. There will never be enough songs about civility and kindness. I prefer positive and hopeful content; songs about love that struggles AND survives. My faith songs are not church songs; but songs about daily life and a simple trust in God.

My protest and freedom songs are not about a political party but supportive of time tested American ideas, freedoms and a responsible, limited government.

We can work in only one of these areas if you wish.

Lyrics - I can get a song idea clear with a few cleaver lines and hooks. Hoping for a lyricist who loves starting new or fine tuning a song idea into a well crafted lyric. Do you enjoy weaving a lyric and re-working lines to replace cliches with vivid pictures.

Songwriting - hoping to work with someone strong in music theory, arrangement, interesting chords transitions, builds, riffs, modulation, etc.

Song Production

My Song Production Wish List….

Vocalist - Yes to different male and/or female vocalist anytime it makes the song better. My pop/rock and songwriter vocal skills are limited.

Instruments - Prefer mostly acoustic instruments plus electric and synths as suited for punch and flair.

Engineering/Mixing - I am not precise. I follow my ears. So if you are precise with your engineering that is a plus. I spend little time on gear talk - focus on the sound that fits the moment.
